About This Role
As a Software Engineer at TasklyAfrica, you will build and maintain web applications, APIs, and software products for U.S.-based tech companies. You will work within cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Debug and resolve production issues efficiently
- Work with modern frameworks and tools (React, Node.js, Python, etc.)
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.)
- Experience with web frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Django, Laravel, etc.)
- Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable high-speed internet and professional home workspace
