AI Engineer

About This Role

As an AI Engineer at TasklyAfrica, you will develop, train, and deploy machine learning models and AI-powered solutions for U.S.-based technology companies. You will work with large language models, computer vision, NLP, and other AI/ML frameworks to build products that solve real business problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for production environments
• Work with large language models (LLMs) for NLP and generative AI tasks
• Build data pipelines for training and inference workflows
• Evaluate model performance and implement improvements
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on AI feature development
• Stay current with the latest AI/ML research and techniques
• Document model architectures, experiments, and results

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in machine learning or AI engineering
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Experience with LLMs, NLP, computer vision, or recommender systems
• Strong understanding of statistics, linear algebra, and probability
• Experience with cloud ML platforms (SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML)
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and model deployment strategies
• Strong problem-solving skills and research mindset
