DevOps / Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer

About This Role

As a DevOps / Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer at TasklyAfrica, you will manage cloud platforms, automate deployment pipelines, design and maintain network infrastructure, and ensure system reliability and scalability for U.S.-based companies. Whether your strength is in CI/CD, cloud architecture, or infrastructure operations, this role brings together all three disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using observability tools
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes
• Configure and maintain network infrastructure — VPCs, subnets, load balancers, DNS, and firewalls
• Plan capacity, optimize cloud costs, and ensure high availability across environments
• Ensure system security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance and scalability

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure, or site reliability
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and networking skills
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and monitoring
• Experience with system capacity planning, cost optimization, or incident response is a plus
